I won't spoil UC for you.

No! UC spoiled RE for me!
I was super close to the end of RE1 and didn't know what the ending was, and then we played the RE1 portion of UC, and it totally spoiled it for me. For some reason I wasn't expecting it to do the whole game.
But they won't let you play UC until you finish the Zero portion first, so I definitely have to finish that one.

Ada Wong has always been my favorite Resident Evil character.

I really wish they had included the Death's Door chapter in Umbrella Chronicles as an unlockable game in the Resident Evil 2 remake. Sadly Miss Wong didnt really get the amount of screen time she deserved.

I still need to do her bonus game on RE4. "The Wong Files" or whatever it's called.

To tell the truth, I just find the Resident Evil games to be too scary for my taste and that's why I'm not very interested in playing those

But who knows, maybe I will play them one day

There's a couple scary parts, things can get a bit tense.
In the early games, especially, things get pretty tense and frustrating just because the controls and the camera angles lead to a lot of deaths. And you have to find ink ribbons in order to save, and they are in limited supply, so I always get pretty stingy with the saves.
I still like the games a lot, though.

As for Negan, I found him to be really funny in his own psychopathic way

But I do admit the whole scene when he crushes the heads of Glen and Abraham with Lucille, was really scary

Oh dang, spoilers, I didn't know he kills Abraham :O
That's too bad. He had a way cooler death in the comics.

Btw, it's the very first time when I encountered such a name - is Negan a real name or a made up one?
No idea, I'd never heard it before, and I wasn't sure if I was even pronouncing it right (the show confirmed that I was).
