Wish we'd had Spotify and Youtube 30 years ago so all these tracks that never were hits got heard.

I like finding albums from one hit wonders as they usually did a few other decent tunes.

When I was three or four, I use to walk around the house singing this, All I Have To Do Is Dream.

When I hear this at the end of a Red Dwarf episode, I close my my eyes and mouth the words with enthusiasm. Although, I don't know the words, except for the "Fun fun fun." However, when I hear it, I know where the words are going, at least with the first first. The second verse I just know the feel and the sound.

It's cold outside, there's no kind of atmosphere,
I'm all alone, more or less.
Let me fly, far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun.

I want to lie, shipwrecked and comatose,
Drinking fresh, mango juice,

Goldfish shoals, nibbling at my toes,
Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun,

Fun, fun, fun, In the sun, sun, sun.

The last two lines, I always want to spread my arms out, again with enthusiasm.
Yep. I'm can be that dorky. There is no mood altering substances involved. I just find the song so uplifting.
I will now hide for a few hours. :D

He said it meant it would be harder for me at first (I'd be awkward and it would take me longer to get through the initial stages) but I could get further than most people if I stuck with it.

He said some of the best dancers are special dancers: he felt that there should be an element of struggle. It shouldn't be too easy.

I don't know if that is true, because I didn't find a new class after I moved. Something to do in 2026 maybe :)

I'm okay if I'm following someone good but I trip over my own feet if they hesitate.

Oh I have been trying to find a video that matches.

Where I was it was a mixed bag - folk and ballroom and a bit of pop. Waltzes and foxtrots and then finish up with say a jive (but that was advanced for me) or a line dance. Or some weeks a few more traditional céilí dances. But my teacher was mostly just trying to get me to waltz well :)

You can sit out every dance but you have to get up for the Siege of Ennis.

You're supposed to bury a horse skull under the boards for the acoustics but I don't think they did.
