Need a book for my in-laws to read on females with AS

I don't know of any books, but you really must read Tony Attwood's paper The Pattern of Abilities and Development in Girls with Asperger's Syndrome, which is available online. I'm a female aspie and I found it invaluable.

You might also want to check out Aquamarine Blue 5, edited by Dawn Prince-Hughes and published in paperback by Swallow. It is a book of "personal stories of college students with autism." Several of them, of course, are aspies. Six of the twelve memoirs are by women, including the editor's excellent contribution.

Quite a lot of insight, and, since the essays are written through the "voices" of the students, the insight goes well past just simple observation.

It was the first book I read on the subject and it was very rewarding. I'm sure it is still available on Amazon. That's how I got it.
