Erm , guy's : You know when you talk to an MP they've got a zillion things going through their heads already. If you put anything in front of them they want to see it in its simplest most comprehensible form. Do this and you get their attention, if they see straight away there is some political collateral in it for them.

So what exactly do you want your political representatives to do?

Can you give a condensed outline , say a series of bullet points, in order of significance?

The only point I can think of is to tell my MP to increase funding and intensity for any 'autism awareness' activities.

Why would the MP/Minister agree to considering doing that? What reasons does this guy have to consider you proposal, beyond it is a good idea. How would it benefit us? How does it benefit the population as a whole? What political collateral is in it for him/her?

( It is good idea- but you have to give the underlying reasons which are not obvious to them.)

I guess you could be right --- how to stem the poor voters' discontentment would be a better issue to talk about, unfortunately.

So how can I best help you, I wonder?
