Thank you for the response, it is a problem in the fact that the parents are arguing. I feel the Dad knows that something is up but cannot bring himself to talk to my sister. As she said to him the other day "you only seem happy when you are leaving to go to work". He got so upset when he was playing with his 2 boys in the bath (bubbles up to the ears!) he made a beard of bubble for his younger son and when he did the same to said child there was a melt down as my nephew does not like bubbles touching his face. As for school he is so 'quiet, sensitive, polite' and all the other cliche's that I feel he may go unnoticed unless his behaviour changes.

In the meantime I'm researching, copy & pasteing and adding to a file of info ... just in case my sis ever needs it.

Thanks again

I feel that those parents need to get off their high horses of perfection (puke), and get their son properly diagnosed.

It prolly is Asperger's.
One thing to note though - Aspies can lie. Though it's usually out of self preservation rather than malicious or self promoting intent.

The fact that he's a "tattle tale" is more likely due to him informing you that so-and-so doesn't know the rules and needs to be taught what they are. He realizes that correcting a misunderstanding of the rules is an authority-figure's job, not his. This adherence to the rules, and expectation that everyone follows the rules in a predictable manner IS quite Aspie.

Though often I find myself trying to teach the (as I perceive them) rules to others myself - which has gotten me into various degrees and types of arguements and trouble over the years.

Edit:
Did I say teach?
I should have said I've often tried to impose rules on others.
