On the wrong planet again...
I tried sneaking acidophilus into something when he had to be on an antibiotic a couple years ago and the result was that he gave up that food! Not good for a kid who eats a very limiting diet (which also makes me think this might work if he's lacking it.)
I use powder. It is slightly sweet. There is no bad taste. It doesn't fully disolve in cold liquid, but will in room temperature or warm liquid. My son drinks it with very little apple juice and the tastes compliment one another. I would say you could get it into a drink without your child knowing about it, or sprinkle it into icecream, pancakes or something else your child eats that is already somewhat sweet and they won't notice.
I do have a theory about why things are going so well but it is a personal and religious one. I believe that things have gotten better with my son's PDD-NOS and SPD because it is now time to deal with my younger son's health issues full on. God knows I cannot handle both at the same time. My younger son (20 months now) will start testing for growth hormone deficiency in a couple months and that will be very trying. His growth issues are very uncertain at this time. It could be anything from mild dwarfism, to a pituitary tumor, to just a growth hormone deficiency (best case scenario). So here we go. I really do believe that though. I mean whether it is the inositol or not...
Life does have that yin and yang to it. Some of us call it God (I do), some something else
I am so sorry to hear of the potential issues with your younger child. I wish I had more to say or offer; I don't. Just ... I'll be praying for you and your family.

Thanks guys. Now I can pick back up my obsessive research on my younger son, rather than my older...lol. I am the research queen. Great fun.
We saw the endo on Friday. My younger son's testing is going to be scheduled for December.
This forum is so wonderful.
I do feel I need to share the inositol information because we had success with it. If even one other family can have success with it, I have done my duty.
