sometimes i cry for discarded and unwanted things no matter how small and insignificant they are. it comes and goes and can be briefly overwhelming and then it's fine. my sensitivity to things like that can be almost excruciating at times. the song 'puff the magic dragon' put me into hysterics when i was a child.

your very welcome cockneyrebel. I wish usa had buses like the routemasters but all we have in nj is the double decker commuter trains (amtrak??)the trains are electric and gray in color. our city buses are single level they are white or black with purple and red and orange stripes for njmass transit and have big ads too but seems all their ads are for things like viagra or geico auto insurance. i dont ride them beucase too many weirdos and they charge nearly 2 us dollers a ride (id rather have my dad take me to places i need to go)

Your are not a freak. My brother is NT and he mourns the loss of a library book. I myself still mourn the breakdown of my washingmachine, I love all sorts of machines.

I can understand your mourning the loss of such an important cultural landmark you love. Its been there all your life and now it is gone and some ugly busses will take its place, it makes home feeling a bit less home.

cool theres nothing wrong with being sad over the loss or not working of a vehicle, I myself cryed when there was a crash with the 1987 oldsmobile station wagon. this happend the day before I went to 6th grade. I loved that thing (I was in front passenger seat at time of crash I was not injured) when police came they heard my crying and I told them I was not hurt its because I loved that car! and oh yea I know i'd be pretty upset if the vacuum or the washer and dryer were to die. I even get alittle sad when I see things like doors or garage door openers on curb for trash day. t can always be reused or repaired like fixing the electrical boards on the openers or using the hardware on the doors. If I drove i'd go around "rescuing" the door hardware before it reaches the dump.

ethamin, my favorite machines are door hardware (closers, locks, hinges and door openers )

each time I go to store I always have to stop and look at the machine that pasturizes milk and makes other drinkables. that thing is sooo irresistable each time I go theres always some little 2 1/2 year old kids to ages adult watching it making the item that the place is low on.

I have suggested to the store's management to put in a webcam so anyone can watch it without having to physically go to the dairly products store to see this big machine from the comfort of their home.

how are you about fixing things??(that is one of my favorite things to do get my hands dirty).

you can pm me or aim im me if you want

I feel closer to English objects than I do to people. The Routemaster was a symbol of the London that I've dreampt of traveling to. That Dream was killed by Red Ken Livingstone. I feel very lonely. At least I'd be normal if I was living in London. :(

ive mourned the loss of several things that included.

my 1984 topps dan marino rookie card. f**k that one hurt. BAD. i dont even know what i did with it or what happend to it. it was like in three inch thick bullet proof glass. and i always put it in the same place. one moring while i was looking for it i couldn't find it anywhere. i tore my entire room up looking for it for a whole week. i never did find it and it makes me sad to this day.

i lossed a sapphire crystal that i bought from burma like three years ago, that i still to this day dont know what happend to it. it was almost transparent had good even blue color and i loved it alot. it was almost 5 inches long and had no chips cracks or any other external flaws, it was a beautiful crystal.

a couple of silver coins that i used to collect went missing about six months after i bought them, a silver chain went missing after i took a bath once and left it sitting on the side of the tub. my favorite pillow that i used for years went missing one morning when i came home from highschool i finally figured out my mom got rid of it because later she told me it was worn out or something.

I am about to suffer the loss of an inanimate object.

My mom just got a new cell phone plan. It is a family plan and she is getting two new cell phones. One is for herself and the other is for me. The trouble is I like the cell phone that I have already. I know it is crazy for me to have such an attachment to a cell phone when the new cell phone is a better and later model of phone. However, I am still attached to my old cell phone and I'm not ready to give it up yet even though my phone bill will be cheaper under the new phone plan.

I hope that my new phone has a SIMM card in it. If it does, I will take it out of the new phone and slip it into the old phone. That way I can still use my old phone under the new plan.

Mm, I found when my brother sat on my bow and snapped it that even though the one I bought to replace it was leagues better in every way possible and would last longer, sound better etc, I still loved my old bow

Hopefully your SIM card idea will work :) I couldn't really do much about my bow.
