The fact is, a Men's forum has been tried out, and it didn't work. Why do you think it would suddenly work now?

How could it "not work"?
It's a discussion area.

Well obviously we could add a "discussion area" for every subject anyone can think of. We need to draw a line somewhere though.

By "not workj" I mean the topics in there were just as valid in other pre-existing forums as in a Men;'s forum, and there were relatively few actual topics that warranted having a whole forum for the subject

The same could be said for the women's section. There is no difference of importance between men and women's discussions.

The difference is that the Womens forum is actually used regularly for discussions of actual Women's topics that wouldn't be better placed elsewhere. No one is saying that there is a Womens forum because their problems are more important. Why are you so bothered about there not being a Mens forum?

It's like removing the men's bathroom because "not that many people were using it anyways".

Wow! Anybody in here saying there should be no Men's, yet posting elsewhere in favour of gender/sexuality based forums should take a look at their hypocrisy. If one 'should be given a try' then all should, just because something didn't work with different regular members, doesn't mean it wouldn't now.

I actually don't believe their should be a Men's forum as male issues can and are dealt with in existing forums (Adult) just like Women's should. It's not as if the existing forums are bursting and difficult to find recent posts, what's with all the attempts to subdivide?

How is it hypocrisy? If there had never been a men's forum, then I would be all in favour of it. But it's been tried at least once and didn't work. If an LGBT forum had been tried and hadn't worked for the same reason, I would be against making one again.

I don't see the hypocrisy.

Well trying it years ago when the forum regulars were mainly different people is no way to see if something would work with the current regulars. This is pretty black and white to me, man and woman can post together, we are equal.

OK Try the men's forum again then.

This has nothing to do with equality though. The existence of a women's forum in no way indicates some kind of belief that women are superior to men. It exists because there are obviously a lot of women-related topics. Last time, there weren't enough men-related ones. Maybe if it's tried again there will be. I doubt it though tbh. But if it does work, then great

in a "men's forum"?

Be honest, do you actually want it because you think you need it, or are you just angry theres a womans and not a mens?

Get rid of the womens if you want, whatever. But I have watched the mens forum come and go and what went on in there was really quite sexist and nasty.

Men were using it to bash an entire gender then telling women who argued to b*gger off because it was the "mens" forum.

The reason there still is a womans forum is people don't "bash" men in there, and if they do those posts should be reported.

People say it wasn't active, and thats true. After all the WOMEN BASHING posts had been removed.. it WASN'T active.

Well I'm a guy and I voted 'no'. Granted the male / female ratio on WP is more even than that of people on the spectrum in real life but this whole place still feels like a lads club. And hence a women's only forum is needed here much more than the other.

Anyway, give it a few months and all women will get driven away from Love and Dating thanks to some ridiculous topics. Then we will have our lads club!

Can we also have a section for androgynes? What about transmen or transwomen?

In all seriousness, I wouldn't mind a section for men's issues. I actually had a thought that would go well in a forum like that, but there are none.

This entire forum aside from the woman's section is a men's section. Just look at L and D.

All one has to do is make a new section under
"creat board".

If that is broken then create a new
thread label it men's sector and
keep digging it up when u need it,
if it breaks then make another one
with a 2 in it and so on.

ManCave topic

Maybe if a thread was started and there was enough input, consistently over a few weeks, Alex would allow it to be Stickied and there you would have your E-Male group. 8)
