Making yourself over - do you ever change your look?

WOW I WANT THAT, I've got a jumper that's similar but it's normal length with rainbow stripes and the pixie hood. I would have the guts to wear that, I've done some crazy things with my fashions. I've got colourful pinstriped jeans that I'm wearing now. 8)

I have very little sense of how I look or how a particular style would look on me. I wouldn't even know how to replicate a style that I had seen on someone else or in a magazine. So, in theory I would like to change my look, but in practice I would have no idea how to go about it.

Not intentionally, no, although my appearance drifts as changes in styles affect what is available and as I discover tricks to keep from having to fuss with appearance (e.g. that wearing a bun lets you forget about hair stylists for decades on end -- yeah!).

Every time I try to change my look, I feel like I end up looking worse.
Now, my plan is to assemble a classic wardrobe that will never go out of style, and stick with that.
I have also found a hair style that looks equally good on older and younger women, so that's that sorted.
