you can "look cute" and be comfortable...
I wear super soft shirts with the necks cut out...or loose flowy dresses....and circle skirts which allow for a full range of movement..I can't wear clothes if they are uncomfortable..really...but I have a thing about clothes. I like interesting looking clothes for reasons beyond how they "make me look" I like paying attention to the structure of clothing..the details and design....I have a LOT of clothes...mostly from thrift stores...it is a bit of a special interest I have have had for years...I have vintage and unusual and homemade pieces and pieces made in other countries...I don't wear a lot of it..I tend to fixate on a few of the most comfortable things and wear them over and over again...but I like clothes....fabrics...stuff like that...

Most of the cute comfortable clothes for women don't appeal to me... because they aren't actually comfortable for me.

I'm most comfortable in a t-shirt and pants... usually boot cut jeans. Not a fan of tightness around my lower legs.

I have to wear capris for this reason..sorta...and also um...uh...same reason I like loose shirts..I do like compression though..so I don't mind tights/stockings..usually....it depends..

I don't have a lot of fashion sense and definitely prefer comfort. Though I would like to think I fall into the "cute and comfortable" category. :D At least I am satisfied with the outfits I put on myself, given that I only have 15 minutes between my alarm setting off and walking out of the door. I think my style is more or less hippie, with the long flowy skirts, long unstyled hair and comfortable tops. Although I also wear pearls and diamond jewelry all the time.

I have similar interests when it comes to fashion. I'm interested in aesthetics and making sure my clothing is appropriate to the situation, not in labels or copying what celebrities are wearing. My standard work-day outfit is stretchy pants and a shirt or t-shirt under a tunic dress, with sandals or ballet flats. I am paranoid about my stomach showing between my top and pants, so I almost always wear tops or tunics that come to mid-thigh.

Over the last few years I've managed to find cocktail dresses made from t-shirt fabric. Not only are they quite cheap, they look just as good as satin ones, whilst being stretchy and not making you sweat profusely. Best thing ever for dressing up.

I love clothes but do not follow fashion at all. I guess I dress bohemian hippy style, I love long floaty skirts and pretty dresses, I love anything flowery/sparkly, I'm ultra feminine but cannot wear heels they are hideously uncomfortable and hurt my feet and my back. Fabric is very important, so much I cannot wear because it makes me itch, like wool and polyester, I like soft cotton. Tags in clothing drive me insane. I wear flats or flip flops or flat boots, love jewelry and make-up, no problems with that. It's kinda funny how women on the spectrum are all different, many dislike make-up due to sensory issues or just aren't into in yet wear jeans everyday, which I cannot bear because jeans are sooooooooooo uncomfortable, nasty, rough, stiff fabric. I hate jeans! (Though I wear them to walk the dog and than immediately change again soon as I'm back  )

Comfort over fashion? Absolutely.

Attempts to don the tight, scratchy, poorly-made tat that somehow achieves widespread popularity have been known to lead to meltdowns.
