I've known bill longer, but Lois really helped me out of some dark p[laces early on.

but this groups are for alcoholics and not for children who grew up in alcoholic families
the group u mentioned is located in kolkatta im in other city

maybe if you contact the al-anon meeting that is in the other city they can tell you where to find some help more locally.

namaste - Al-Anon and AA literature has been translated into many different languages, not that you don't appear to have a fine grasp on the english language, but anyway, a book I would recommend is called Hope for Today and is published by the Al-Anon World Serivce Organization.

AA is for alcoholics who wish to recover from alcoholism. Al-Anon is for the family and friends of alcoholics to recover from the disease. Those of us who live or have lived with an alcoholic suffer from the disease just as much as the one who drinks. The Adult Children of Alcoholics is, as Kailuamom noted, a group that is specifically geared toward helping those that suffer specifically because a parent was alcoholic. If you have access to meetings of either group, I think you might find help. I know Al-Anon has an online chat room for people who can't make it to meetings.
