a socially graceful person would accept the napkins with a simple thank you. my social rules are simpler yet more rigorous than the typical neurotypical. i don't expect anybody else to make any sense of that, however.
the schober organ was the only kit organ not based on an existing brand of organ rendered in kit form. these organs had a truly unique sound, that i like to think of as the best of the purely electronic with merely incidental resemblance to a wurlitzer. are there any WPers out there who have seen and/or heard a schober organ?

I have never seen or heard a schober organ that I know of.

What is a wurlitzer?

rudolph wurlitzer and robert hope-jones invented these beasts, to replace costly pit orchestras in countless movie theatres, in the theory that one organist is a lot cheaper than a whole pit orchestra. mind you, this was back in the days before "talking" pictures. with the advent of cinema soundtracks, the lions' share of these organs were ashcanned, with a few preserved by fanatical organ lovers. the glorious specimen in the youtube vid really is a hybrid organ, assembled from bits and pieces of various defunct theatrical organs from around the country, and which now lives in the organ stop pizza place in mesa, AZ. these organs differ from liturgical [church or classical] organs in that they have tremulants [wind regulators that add a short-periodic pitch variation called "tremolo" to the sound] as well as "toy counter" special effects such as rhythmic and chromatic percussion instruments such as snare drums and glockenspiels, powered by electropneumatic actuator beater bars- the term "toy counter" was rudolph wurlitzer's derisive term for those things were were typically mounted atop the wind chest [the thingie that supplied the pipes with air so they could speak], that superficially resembled an old-fashioned department store toy counter from days of olde.
below, is a schober home organ-

it was a unique-sounding kit organ wihch superficially resembled a bread-and-butter wurlitzer theatrical pipe organ [the kind in old movie theatres], and working specimens are as rare as hen's teeth nowadays.

Now, do you hang your toilet paper roll flap out or in? I hang it flap out as it just seems more logical to me: accessibility and it doesn't touch the wall however I have heard some people hang it the other way because otherwise their cats will start scratching it and unroll it?.. what do you think?

I do agree, I've often thought about that very same thing.

I can't seem to gain any weight and I wonder if it's my fault. I eat as much as I can but maybe it's not enough. Are you happy with YOUR weight?
