I've seen all those except for Hell of the Living Dead and Carnival of Souls, they're all pretty good. I agree with you about the Resident evil movies. The first one was okay, but all the rest are just so awful. My friend and I keep watching each one that comes out to see how hilariously worse and worse they get.
I think you should check them out if you ever get the chance.
Hell of the Living Dead isn't a great movie by any means, but it's one of those "so bad they're actually good" kind of horror movies from the 80's. It's an Itallian film with bad voice overs and cheesey dialog and it's full of bloody gore. It even goes as far as to illegally copy the music from Dawn of the Dead and has the same type of characters: a SWAT team and a female reporter and her cameraman boyfriend. The movie is about the reporters travelling to New Guinea to do a story about a strange virus infecting the natives and turning them into flesh-eatting zombies and they meet a team of elite SWAT commandos who are in the country on a top secret mission, and they end up helping each other to survive.
Carnival of Souls is a pretty good classic. Basically it's about a woman who survives a fatal car crash in which she was the only survivor and when she moves to a new town and gets a new job she starts being haunted by visions of some scary-looking ghouls who chase her and she feels drawn to an old abandon carnival. It's an old movie like the original Night of the Living Dead but it's actually pretty good in my opinion.
