Those Progressive ads. Flo's voice is just irritating.

Those "He went to Jared!" ads. My group and I managed to make our entire class laugh when we spoofed it for a project in German.

Last night I saw a commercial at my parent's house for some insane mom who's really obsessed with everything colored yellow, so her son got her all this yellow junk off some online bargain-shopping website for Mother's day. He even wears a yellow suit at the end, and when his mom sees it she goes crazy with delight and hugs him. I would not want to live in a place where everything is yellow, it would be like being inside a giant mustard bottle, and it would hurt my eyes almost as much. Also yellow reminds me too much of gross, diseased things. On the plus side, should the son pee himself while wearing that suit, which he probably will, no one will notice.

The ones that take place during the Walking Dead seasons. Meaning anything that interrupts my viewing pleasure.

I've just read about an ad for this candy bar called Pay Day that reminded me once again how hypersexual American society is. I think it got pulled off the TV but I found a link that shows the bar standing upright with its non-existant private parts blurred out... since it's not covered in chocolate it's supposed to be "naked", but it is covered in nuts, so...

They need to STOP using sex to sell their products that have nothing to do with it!! ! Do I notice an ad for candy, shampoo, life insurance, or frozen yogurt that is very sexual? Yes. Does it make me want the product? NO. Does it cause any feelings of respect or interest for the product and its company to plummet so low that it's like a big, black hole in space that pulls in any and everything that makes my life worth living down with it never to be seen again? YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!! !! !!

First of all: I can't help myself----I just have to know what this sentence, from the original post, means....

"Like, the ones you will change the channel to avoid if they come on, the ones that will cause you to shut the window even if it means you don't get to read the article just so you don't have to hear it?"

Obviously it's just me, misunderstanding, but: What do TV, shutting windows, and reading articles have in common?

Anyway....

As for my least favorite commercials, I agree with others who have listed:

Political Ads: I feel the same way----that it makes me not want to vote for ANY of them!! ! They started here, last month-----the friggin' election's not 'til November, I think!!

The ads where people shout at you-----and / or, make it sound like you have to do this, RIGHT NOW!! !

Aflac - quite annoying.

BUT, the WORST, by far, are:

The ones where they want you to save the children. All those pathetic conditions, children, etc. It about makes me want to vomit.

If THOSE aren't bad enough, the ones where they want you to save the animals. OMG, I swear, when I first saw one of them, I nearly had a seizure-----LITERALLY-----it was THAT upsetting, to me.

Just about any commercial for Chevy really pisses me off because it seems like every single one of them is an excuse to badmouth Ford and say that they're superior. News flash, my uncle used to own a Chevy when he was younger and the frame snapped while he was inspecting it underneath, nearly decapitating him. Ever since then, he's been a Ford man and never had problems with it. But the one commercial that pissed me off the most was the 2012 Chevy Super Bowl ad (back when those idiots still thought the world was going to end that year). It starts off by sweeping over the post apocalyptic wasteland with wanton destruction everywhere. At first I was like "Huh. I really like post apocalyptic settings. This might be a cool ad". But then a truck pulls out of the rubble and they flash the Chevy logo on the grill to which I was like "Ugh". We then see it drive over the landscape to where some other people are standing with their Chevies. Guy gets out of his and asks "Hey where's Dave?" Other guy responds "Dave didn't drive the most dependable, longest lasting truck on the road. Dave drove a Ford." ARE YOU f*****g KIDDING ME?!? You think that something like surviving the apocalypse is all going to depend on what f*****g truck you have? That's just complete BS because it creates unrealistic expectations of a product. I look forward to the apocalypse when I can watch Chevy burn with all the others. f**k YOU!! !! !! !!

One of the worst commercials around right now is this singing/dancing one for Charter Spectrum/Charter Communications "Triple Play." If you live in a Charter service area, you've probably seen this puking ad. A bunch of call center employees rapping, singing, dancing like idiots about TV/Internet/Phone being $29.99 a month when bundled. I lose many brain cells when this ad airs...and it airs over 10 times a day on our local stations!! !

The phone # is different in the YouTube ad...ours is 844-455-2999, theirs is 844-644-2999.

The Direct TV ads with Rob Lowe. Making fun of various mental conditions and then blaming them of the choice of TV provider.

Wow. I hadn't thought of it that way. Up until now I had just been neutral about it. Probably because I mostly saw the "Meathead" one which I just attributed to dumb Jersey Shore stereotype.

Because there are ads on TV and ads on computers.
