Be friends with a girl? as in Guy/girl...I have 3 of them. A good point is to NOT try and raise the FRIEND thing any further. For some reason it fails miserable in most cases. Don't go being friends with a girl expecting to 'get with them'. I learned that LONG ago because they are smart enough to see through it. They can give a unique perspective and even help if you have a severely limited 'love life' like I do.

Hmm. I'm wondering if your overwhelmingly-negative outlook on casual sex might have something to do with your self-proclaimed "severely limited 'love life'" - in that, because *you* don't get to experience the joys of mutually-satisfying, consensual sex, you're perhaps angry, bitter, and jealous over the fact that *others* do... Just a thought.

Yes, being friends with the opposite sex is perfectly normal and completely acceptable. I have more close male friends than I do female friends. It is so normal you couldn't even believe it.

Erm yes! Even though some people may think you're flirting it's fine!
At school about 70% of my best mates are boys and they have a lot of "Just friends" relationships with girls!

you have to be careful when just being friends with a girl if you want more. i had a good friend that became a little more friendly, and now we barely talk. things are just too weird, and i dont know how to talk to her anymore.
