Which is better, apples or oranges?

I also like both, but under certain conditions which led me to choose oranges. Given the standard varieties available in most grocery stores in my aeea, I'd enjoy an orange, but wouldn't consider eating an apple. If offered a Fuji or a Braeburn, or an apple in that category, I'd enjoy it as much as a blood orange. The fact that I will eat an orange out of any old fruit basket swayed me.

I like BOTH----but, maybe, apples (red) just a bit more!!

I think some smart person should come up with a hybrid orange/apple. an applange. or oranpple. think of how good it would taste.

it's easier to suck on oranges than apples. and impossible to suck on a grape without sucking it up.

Hard to choose.
I love golden delicious apples the most but they have to be ripened damn near to perfection, then I can't get enough of them. :D
Navel orange rule but they have to be sweet and juicy. Too many times they are pithy and lack flavor when bought at grocery stores.
I never buy oranges or apples in bags in the grocery store, I have to hand select each one.
I'll buy them pre-bagged or bushelled only when I get them at the source which is the roadside stores that the growers have set up to sell direct to the public.

Overall, I'd have to choose apples but there is quality criteria that has to be met.

Apples and oranges come from more places than just Washington and Florida.
California and Texas produce a lot of citrus.
The Blue Ridge Mountains and Great Lakes region produce a lot of apples.
