Almost all of what's been posted in the moderator help topic since the site change is actually about spam (advertisements and solicitations with links to probably malicious websites) and not trolling.

yes. i, along with two others have access to the banhammer. that's the most in quite a while i should think.

As a regular, if not consistent, member of WP, I have not seen ANYTHING that you are complaining about!
I haven't seen any spam and I haven't seen any trolls
the only ad I've seen is that ugly picture of Ellen which I completely ignore

For the size of this forum, I suggest that your anger is importune and that the moderators are doing the best job that they can do!

Hi Alex. I have come back to this site two days ago after taking an almost six month hiatus, but it very difficult for me to participate here because there is so much glare. I have never had this problem on any other site, and i am on many. It is my understanding that a lot of autistic people and not just myself are very light sensitive, so this is surely affecting participation here. I notice there is a whole thread in a different section about problems with this new forum,, and i left a message there about the glare but the rest of that thread is too painful to my eyes to read so I have no idea what other people said except I did read the first page and noticed someone mentioned glare there, and the one person I pm'd with also mentioned glare to me in the first message we exchanged, before having read my message.. It is quite painful writing this message. I have a lot to say about other problems i have observed and some suggestions to make but cannot stay on here long enough to write it. Maybe I will eventually write about it on my email and then re post it here. I have tried sunglasses but this does not work for me.

There were some problems with the other forum, as sometimes you could not pull up a particular page and had to try a few times which could be very frustrating, I understand, but this forum seems Far Far worse. I have only been here a short time as the glare is too painful. I have already seen many other things that make it very difficult and frustrating to participate....but the glare is too painful for me to be able to list them right now. I cannot even scroll at times here...it just kind of slows down and does not work, so I have to leave the page....

It is obvious that you made this new format in good faith and with the altruistic motivation of trying to help people, but sometimes people make a mistake. That is only human. Maybe we can at least investigate going back to the previous format, at least for now, and if cost is involved in making the switch, I am sure many members here will gladly help you take care of that---just open a pay pal account and you will have the money in no time...

I understand that people have difficulty sometimes adjusting to new things such as changes in format, and perhaps autistic people especially have a difficulty with making certain adjustments, but I think this does not account for the situation this is happening here...

Thanks for everything you have done and are doing to help autistic people. Participating on this forum for over a year was very helpful to me and my whole life is completely changed because of it...I would like to write about how I have changed and how participating on this forum has helped me, but again the glare:-) ......hoping for further inquiry .....love, littlebee

No it's not importune: last night I got a message that I was permanently banned. This has now been sorted out - it was an error. A very upsetting error, for me.

Was it a moderator that sorted it out?

Ok I admit, WP is in the seventh region of hell, with all the other wretched souls. We came to the river Styx, and there was Cerberus, and he gladly let us in. Now we're having a party down there with all spammers. woohoo
