No malcom, its LOTR fanatics that do that. Trekkies are the ones who get you plastic surgery to give you pointy ears....

GalileoAce, your notion that you are the only Trekkie on board is clearly false.

And the Trekkies will start a war in a few hundred years time and be executed in a way befitting virgins according to Futurama.

No no no. LOTR fanatics don't hold satanic rituals and sacrifice you. We are very much like Trekkies. Yes, we are. We will also get you plastic surgery to give you pointy ears, if you weren't blessed to be born with them already (like me!) - but we will also make you eat second breakfast. And elevensies. And...

Isn't that right, Gandalf. Gandalf?

About Star Trek... I love it!
If you watched an episode of it every day, it would take two years to get through it all.
mmm....indulgence...
I think there are 744 episodes made so far.

Yes, I have pointy ears. <sigh> And no, I will not post pics! I keep my hair long enough to cover them, thank you very much. :?

Last time I had my hair short enough to let my ears show, I overheard my daughter telling a little kid at a Christmas party that "that lady over there" was really one of Santa's helpers in disguise! 8O

I am NOT an elf, North Pole-ish nor Middle Earth-ish. I prefer "tall hobbit." Suits my personality much better.

LOL I really did believe that when I was a kid! I felt that I couldn't possibly be entirely human, because I was so unlike other people. Star Trek was my favorite TV show and Spock was my role model.

It didn't help that my younger sister liked to tell people I had Vulcan ears. :?

I still believe that some fans of something will sacrifice you.....

I actually thought it was pretty common (I dare say, stereotypical) for Aspies to be into Star Trek, LOTR, etc. In fact, I often consider myself less intelligent than other Aspies because I can't get into such things and would rather watch game shows instead. Or, in other words, because I'm a dork rather than a geek.

What? You mean I'm the only Stargate-SG1 fan here? :D
