a twilight zone episode, "third planet from the sun" where they were fleeing their planet that was about to blow itself up in a fit of craziness. only i'd redirect their craft away from planet earth to some other place not about to blow itself up or poison itself.

This is a good question.

I think maybe Dead Like Me. I could be a grim reaper and help people over to the other side. I could eat tons of bacon and waffles bathed in tons of butter.

One show I was surprised to see was Rick and Morty. I love the show, but if I were in it, Rick would likely destroy me and the universe I live in. It would be horrifying.

Maybe Tomorrowland.

Maybe The Addams Family (tv show)

This needs some more thought.

I would like to live in "quantum leap" but as an actual time traveler.

Some wuxia movies could be pretty appealing. Maybe some mix of wuxia and space sci-fi.

in an alternate timeline, I could picture myself living inside "Hedwig and the angry inch."

If I had to choose, I'd say Kiki's Delivery Service. The people and the town were so lovely.

Survivor ... as a pissed off wandering tribesman wondering why all these suspiciously inept, mostly white "survivors" are invading my territory.

Actually, thinking about it, it might be fun - in a homicidal way - to be in the Hyborian Age of Conan The Barbarian. Just as long as I can be a muscled, broadsword swinging barbarian!
