No but they have worse things planned, my State is run by tyrants who don’t care about us peasants below them.

No, they have limited time to meet due to our stat going broke. But the punworking in gun control in secret. They going try to push it quick and over night and it’ll be state of emergency. They pass every law now saying it’s a state of emergency. That way two things happen, 1. It goes into effect instantly, 2. The people can’t hold a vote on it. They know we’d vote out all their horrible trash laws, so they forbid us peasants from having a say in them. Normals laws passed can be challenged and brought to a special election vote by the whole state. They are power loving tyrants who don’t give a flying poop about any of us who pay their salaries. It’s a sad state of affairs.

I dont know they tried in the past to ban simi auto guns but didn’t have the votes. Now they do. That law gave the police the right to search anyone’s house randomly once a year. Anyone that includes non gun owners. To check for illegal guns and or magazines. And all other guns would have to be registfor a high fee and renewed every year. So total dictatorship law. Bloomberg gives millions upon millions to our politicians to push gun control. They essentially just paid of pawns of some rich New York guy.

the random searches are straight out of the police state guidebook. I will be sure to not live in Oregon. it is the time for you to get active and buttonhole your state legislator to get his or her position on the random searches.

It didn’t pass as in 2013 they didn’t have the seats. Now they could pass whatever they want without republicans being able t stop them

They don’t care about me the democrats control the state they don’t care about anyone as long as liberals vote them in. See any party have control is bad. Any party being able to just do whatever they want is bad.

That’d require someone to have it done to them and sue the state on constitutional grounds. The courts won’t see gun rights related issues.

These people have no problem violating one right it’s no surprise they ok violating others. That is what I’ve pointed out for years. Whether you like guns or not everyone should be against the stripping of our rights.

if they pass random searches in your state and the courts uphold it, it will spread to other states. that would be the end of America as we know it. it would be a slippery slope downhill from there.

Getting back to the OP, the way I deal with political discouragements is to remind myself, "The pendulum ALWAYS swings back the other way." This is where having lived well over half a century is useful. I've survived some depressing political times and I know I'll survive this one as well.

The other tip from my tool kit is to laugh at the politicians. I enjoy certain comedians who take on the current batch of crooks, and my spouse is someone who shares my beliefs, so we can always laugh together. It doesn't mean we don't still care about the issues. It means we do care, but we don't want to be depressed into catatonia by the caring.

You know, nobody saw the "#metoo" movement coming or knew how big and powerful it would turn out to be. But now most of us realize that we have turned a corner and there will not be a return to the previous status quo. This is an example of the pendulum swinging all the way to other extreme. I do believe some fairly innocent men will be penalized by the movement, but I also believe a very large number of very guilty men are going to lose their jobs and social status - many already have. I was reading the other day that one result of the movement is a very large number of women running for political office for the first time in their lives. Wake up and pay heed, this is a historical moment where feelings of victimization are turning into feelings of empowerment.

You missed the point. The meaning was that’s the government switches party control every few years, I’m a center guy meaning my party is never in power. It never switches to my party. There is no center party or center politicians. Everything is left or right. Republican or Democrat. Both are hell for me.
