I didn't realise how terrifying your week has been or that you have been suffering for 15 years when I wrote the previous reply.

Although, what you are talking about, does sound like you have had enough but taking yourself out of this world only hurts you and those close to you.

Getting real help, like seeing your doctor or another practitioner would be the best way forward. I also know just getting through the day is so difficult when you feel like this.

Are you able to talk to someone close to you?

Do you respond to the beauty of the natural world in New Zealand?

How about exploring the religion of the Maoris?

Death is such a....finality. It’s not like getting your tubes tied. You can’t reverse suicide.

There’s so much out there to explore.

People suck, but Nature is beautiful. So is knowledge.

I was shocked several times over the years upon realizing how easy it is to forget there's a whole world out there. One of them was when someone online showed me and a few more people a video like this, but less cloudy and with more variety of places scattered over the world, and even more linguistic diversity:

There were two lines at the end of the Latin part, which now I think are still in Latin, but whoever wrote the subtitles in that video seemed to have misinterpreted as Spanish, perhaps intentionally:
Quote:
Alguien que ha venido.
Sí, está...

(Someone who has come.
Yes, they are [around] ...
)

The video made me cry, feeling trapped at my parents' home, doomed to waste what was left of my young adulthood, and not knowing what to do.

I know I'm a horribly spoiled brat who never grew up, and someone who has seen a lot compared with me may well be immune to these reminders of how much there is out there to live and learn.

Do you have medical providers you can talk to? I don’t want you to commit suicide, but I’m not sure anything I could say in an internet forum could change your mind. Especially since these feelings have been there a long time & seem to be getting stronger. :(

hale_bopp, walk into an emergency room and tell them you are actively seeking suicide. Be prepared to stay for a few days. (make arrangements for any pets for instance.)

You have lost your way in life. I hope you can find it or find another one, like spiderpig suggested.

We don't want you to follow through on your plans. I'd like chances to get to know you better.

To be honest, I don’t actually care. They get paid to do it.

Whatever. But don't you think it's ironic that the very fact that you have more business being alive than other people seems to make you more vulnerable?

That's for the mods to decide.

Despite all that effort, I still can’t feel safe in my own home. Someone tried to break down my door hurling abuse down the corridor at 4am on a Tuesday morning. Being terrified of drunk aggressive animals who steal and hurt people has since made my life hell.

That must suck indeed. I don't know what it's like to live in a dangerous place, but bullies are great at making you forget everything beautiful in life.

I wish I could be there with you—and I know this must have been obvious for a while. I'd be scared s**tless, and probably wouldn't be much use for defence if someone big and aggressive broke inside, but at least they'd have more meat to chew, and I'd have no doubt that you deserve to survive a lot more than me.

Do you know any of the attackers, or are they just random?

I can’t make it in an NT world full of couples. It’s too hard.

Why?

My parents can sell this horrible place and do what they want with the money.

Can't you do it yourself?

If I can barely leave my bed, I’m not going to ever be someone worth knowing.

I wish I could help, I wish there was something I could say, but I'm always so terrible with words.

Everyone here cares about you very much  (even though it may not always seem like it)

If you're willing to do something as drastic as moving to the US to commit suicide, why not move somewhere and commit "social suicide" instead? Pack up and start over somewhere new where you don't have angry drunks trying to beat down your door.

You can PM me if you want to talk.

WHY IS THIS THREAD EVEN ALLOWED TO EXIST?

[MOD]

Yeah, we can't allow discussion of the effectiveness of suicide methods.
