So funny, I've always loved and owned cats. No fun to bathe though.

Stardate 26052005!

Science Officer Mr.Ghosthunter logging in:

We as a experiment, and since the bigfoot
situation has been resolved, tried to bathe
a cat in a practice suggested by Mr.Promtheus
and myself!

We took our holograme and tried to convince
the cat that we beamed aboard the ship that
it was cat food!

Using freshly scratched "Deep Pearly Blue"
eyes of Mr.Prometheus and my firm but
deeply scratched arms to Doctor_Sarcastic
Names dislike! procedded.

The ships computer trying to learn how to
tame these penguin codes so they are less
mischievious unwittingly set a Dog hologram!
as the mischievious penguins converged and
smiled in sheer delight at Mr.Promethus "pearly
deep blue" that soothe and my arms were
continuously be scratched at.

Hmmmph! Hmmmmmph! Low Freq! Hmmmph!
Hmmmph! change the hologram! Ooooow! scccrrraattch!
Ozing of blood futher staining the floor! and
a deeply Emoticon representative sighing
at his scratched deep blues!

Ooooh! Hi! Mr. Ghosthunter, say's "low Freq",
how the de-smelling tactic working for removing
the big foot smells that haven't gone away?

AS this is conveyed, smiling and mischievious

Hmmmph! Hmmmph! this is low freq!
Whilst Mr.Ghosthunter and Mr.Promtheus
were doing cat bathing big foot de-smelling
experiments, I have been taming these
penguin code mischievieous tactics.

One of them is when they invaded
Assistant Engineers Morlock's
computer and invaded his dreams!

This is what happened when he reported
to the bridge upon Captain Dunctvis's
request!

Today I woke up to my alarm, trying to eat the
clock. I haven't bothered to turn off the alarm
since the school year ended, just hit snooze
as usual.

Life ain't exactly been normal for me, especially
since I found out on my latest expedition into
12-dimensional astral space that I had a lost
twin sister, who currently lives in St. Louis, speaks
German, and has a liking for charm bracelets. Then
a council of my peers declared I had jumped the
shark by being "like a pullstring doll" (that is,
repeating myself too much)

So, in the culmination of it all, I deciderdedjbgdcui

so, what's happened to you in the last 3 days
12 hours 43 seconds and .045 nanoseconds?Back to top

Excuse me? say's Captain Dunctvis! Doctor_
sarcasti_Name! I think that Assistant Engineer
Morlock needs to have himself sent to your
office! As this happens! Mischievious penguins
appear on the main viewer!

Low freq! Where are you? Get these mischievious
penguin coder's off our main viewer.

dunno about bathing aspies (sounds potentially fatal to me), but i certainly think we should all vote Sean "Official World Cat Bather" for ever. or the duration of his lifespan, which may not be as long as he'd like, if he does the job properly. oh, and he has to do it without the help of a handy lavatory...

If I used a pressure washer and a small rabbit cage, I'd barely get a scratch!

Note: I don't have a problem with cats. I might get one someday (I wouldn't use a pressure washer on it).

Sean, your talk of pressure washers reminds me of plan I once envsioned of modifing a pet carrier with low-flow shower heads to act as a cat bather.

I speak of this only becasue we have two ourselves and one time one of them got outside and into the mud and came back in all filthy which required me trying to give him a bath.

He had his claws at the time and after his ringworm incident when he left my arms in pretty bad shape while I had to hold him while mom put anti-fungal medication on his face where the ringworm was, I decided a new approach was in order.

I donned my old winter jacket, put on a pair of work gloves, used duct tape to hold the gloves to the sleves of my jacket, filled the laundry tub in the basement with med-temp water, got a hold of him and managed to get him in the tub. While he moaned and thrashed about and franticaly tried to get out, I managed to hold him down with one hand while I worked as quick as possible with other hand trying to get as much mud off as possible.

The gloves and my jacket took the brunt of his claws, and he got cleaned off in the process. My arms remained in pristine condition.

The best way I've found to bathe a cat:

Pet it a lot and get it relaxed.

Set it on a smooth dry surface near a sinkful of hot soapy water.

Have a towel and washcloth ready.

Use the wet soapy washcloth (not sopping wet) to 'pet' the cat until cat is toroughly soaped up. Believe it or not, most don't mind this very much, they just dislike submersion!

Drain sink, refill with clean hot water, repeat above process (with clear water).

Cover body of cat with towel, pick it up close to yourself, and pet it with the dry towel, until dry.

-------------------------------------------

I have had cats purr through the entire bath!!

What a clever way to do it!
However, I'm not brave enough to try it. None of our four cats are declawed.

Neither were mine. Never had a declawed cat before....they need to be tame and reasonably trusting though.

Two of our four would probably cooperate (the two females). I KNOW the younger male would attempt to slaughter everyone in sight.
