China could win a actual war with america?

The outcome would depend greatly on how the war was raged. If you are talking a nuclear war, the answer is that no one wins. The damage to either country would be to high to declare a “winner”. The majority of the population would die in the process. It would reduce the majority of farmlands into radioactive deserts, so no food could be grow there for quite some time. Some people would live, but what quality of life would be left for them?
China could not directly invade the US without using a large-destruction weapon for distraction of the home forces. True, they have more military numbers and larger numbers of weapons. But, the US has a few surprises built up if that was to ever happen on US soil. That would prevent most of the invasion if it was only done by one country. All bets are off if multiple countries jump into the fray though.
If you are talking a technological war, the advantage is in China’s hands. They could cripple the US power grids with the use of EMPs, reducing most electrical devices into worthless junk. This could be done from afar. We could do the same to them, but part of their country is not dependent upon electricity, which means life would go on unaffected there. Our economy is tied greatly into the power grid so the loss would be ours.
If you were talking biological or chemical weapons, the US has a slight advantage in this area. However, that would put us at odds with the rest of the world for using them in the first place. There are biologicals that have been developed that have no cure. They are basically a last resort weapon, as everyone would be a target eventually. The only winner is to not use them.
War is bad anyway it is done.
