From a psychiatrist. I guess he has the DEA number needed to prescribe it legally. Great to know that the suboxone has fried my opiate receptors and no other drug will provide better relief. I guess you mean I'd need something super strong like oxycodone or something, which no doctor will prescribe me and personally I also wouldn't go that far in finding a drug for relief.
No drug tests man! I am not obligated to take any and I get it legally. I don't believe there is a substitute for suboxone for despair that is not an opiate/opioid like drug. I've tried all the "crap" antidepressants such as wellbutrin, remeron, and other fancy named ones. I'm sick of people recommending antidepressants. Those things are crap for me personally.
The active ingredient in Suboxone is Buprenorphine, it's a very powerful LONG acting opiate. It was developed as a substitute for Methadone because Methadone can be very dangerous. Long acting opiates take a while to build up in your system, they take even longer to get out (roughly 21 days of hell) if you are trying to detox. But, if you are simply trying to switch to a different drug, it's less time. Suboxone is s**t for pain relief, but with the crack down on opiates, it keeps doctors from having to deal with dope fiends they've helped to create.
The worst thing about having all these people on Suboxone is that they are now hooked on the drug that was used to get people off of opiates. They lied, like they always do when they said withdrawals were mild. They're milder than heroin, but they last forever! So, in laymans terms, you're f****d.
I have had friends consult the internet and the best solution they have come up with to get off Subs is a very slow taper, like over a year. Or, if you're tough, bite the bullet and s**t your brains out for 3 weeks.
Good luck, my friend. It's a hard road to get off it, but worth it. And never let a doctor tell you that a long acting opiate is the way to go. It's only the 'way to go' if you're dying of cancer. Once you get off it, you may have a better response to the herbs you were asking about.
