Meandering thoughts: What's odd to me is that there is gender - it's a spectrum like most everything (I want to read more about the cultures that recognize multiple genders "non binary" - no time for an additional interest) and many ASD folks like to find patterns and categorize, which could lend itself to stereotypes and yet ASDs can be unassuming less likely to stereotype... Ho, hum.
Joking again: I'd like to discuss on the Men's Discussion Forum how they feel about the peer pressure to be "male" and what that means and why. (Seriously though, I am sick of seeing the "manly" men at work tease the less "manly" men. The "womanly" women just politely leave me out: no in-the-face teasing.)
Darn, I just said a whole lot about gender. I like the full spectrum ----- what's troublesome is the social norms and pressures: between and *within* categories of gender... Perhaps that is what you were implying.
