Females can be powerful in films, but doing that by making every male character look comparitively less intelligent is not a very good message for anyone.

This is the norm for just about every sitcom since the 1970s -- the husband is a doofus and the wife is wise/smart.

But what do you expect?  If you, as a writer or director, can replace a male character with a barking dog and the story still basically works, maybe the male character is not needed at all.

In big bang theory the men were definitely smarter than the women. In fact it was a running joke.

Most of the men had more formal education, while most of the women had more common sense. Never confuse education with intelligence.

I enjoyed it. You're all a bunch of misery guts.

OP sounds paranoid. Or trolling.

Oh, I enjoyed BBT too, especially when Sheldon got his 'comeuppance' or when they all played D&D.

Yeah I enjoyed that too. There were less geeky references as the show went on which disappointed me. There were some early text adventure game and SIM city references that made me chuckle. #sheldonopolis

You can say that again. I've been seeing shadow people. I think the feminazi army is coming to kill me (just kidding)

Yeah I get what you're saying I just watched it on Disney Plus I'm going to be honest I was never into Toy Story growing up and I'm still not as an adult I can tolerate it but it isn't my favorite. I liked the Disney short Lamp Life (I think that's what it was called) I don't like forced feminism I don't like the new Bat Woman and I don't like those extreme SJW types with the crazy hair color (nothing wrong with crazy hair color lol Just something I noticed with them) who try to find a problem with everything and try to speak for minorities (I am a female minority by the way.) I saw two feminist reaction to a Descendants film and they kept saying how it lacked people of color and yada yada and as a person of color I rolled my eyes at this. Have a female character have a character of color just make sure that's not their only personality trait.
