Any advice for being homeless with autism and bipolar disorder?

Being homeless is something you should try to avoid.

I searched for "Georgia Developmental Disabilities"

For access to services and immediate crisis help, call the Georgia Crisis & Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225, available 24/7.

https://dbhdd.georgia.gov/be-compassionate
Above is the website for the Georgia Waiver

To apply, you have to find out which Region of Georgia you are in:
https://dbhdd.georgia.gov/regional-field-offices

Waivers tend to divide up the state into "regions." You would call the Regional Field Office.

You can't get on a Waiver right away, but you can apply. Then you can access a case manager (called a Waiver Support Coordinator) and get help getting what you need to live independently.

To get your meds from the doctors in Pensacola: You call their office and ask for an extension pending being able to get down there for another visit. They should give you a month supply extra even without a new office visit.

Who pays for your medical bills? Do you have insurance? Medicaid? Medicaid usually does not pay for out of state medical bills except in very unusual exceptions.

If your brother knows you are applying for services, he might be more willing to take you in.

Your brother took you in. Why shouldn't he help you?

You really should make sure you that when you get angry at America or something----that you try not to take it out on your brother.

I'm not saying your brother is a saint---but you do need a place to live.

I'm glad you're in a safe place.

Take it one step at a time. But do take the steps.

What about Telemedicine? Some docs will skype (?spelling) with you and refill your meds. They are doing it more and more. That could help you not have to worry about transportation.

I don't even remember my doctor's name. They had me seeing so many different doctors every time I went to Lakeview (in Pensacola).

Lakeview is a medical complex?

Maybe you could call each doctor that works there. Do you remember the gender of the person who worked most with you?

She was female.

Also my brother only wants me to stay a few days. He thinks my mom will get over it and let me come back home. But I don't want to go back home...

That would narrow it down. Call the female doctors.

Your mother probably will calm down.

She would benefit from your presence because of her medical issues. So maybe, because of that, she’ll treat you better from now on.

The doctors' names are on the label of the prescription bottle. You can also call the pharmacy where the meds were filled and they would be able to tell you.

Do you have your Medicaid card with you? Do you have a current state ID with you?

I do have an insurance card and a state ID but they are both registered in Florida.

I'm not knowledgeable on group homes but maybe a decent one wouldn't be worse than dealing with complicated family relationships?
