Well I very much hope that your Mom's health improves greatly and your worries are soon too pass! :)

Have you other family that could help support or guide you, or have you made plans with your Mom regarding your independence in the future, as that can be very reassuring indeed for parents and good for us too?

Not really. I have a brother and sister but I don't know how they would plan to take care of me and my other brother, and I really do not want to go back into another group home.

I am glad your mother is feeling better too. It can be very scary when the person you rely on is seriously ill.

My Mom's intestines are bleeding again, and get this. She has went to the doctor about 40 times in the last few months.

That's troubling. I hope her condition improves.

I wish the doctors could at least find out what is actually wrong with her. Seems like they tell her one thing and by the time she spends money on another doctor they tell her something different. :(

Hi DE, I am sorry that your mother is so unwell. I'm also sorry that PPR is getting you down. It seems to get many people down. I spend most of my time in Off the Wall, which is drama/debate free. You are welcome to come over there and join me. Is your Death avatar at all related to the Terry Pratchett character? The only Christmas movie I like is The Hogfather, in which Death is the hero. :)

I am sorry for your mom's health problems. I know too little about her condition to offer much health advice. But I will offer two things.

1. NSAIDs can produce bad side-effects. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or NSAIDs, are the most prescribed medications for treating conditions such as arthritis. Most people are familiar with over-the-counter, nonprescription NSAIDs, such as aspirin and ibuprofen. NSAIDs are more than just pain relievers.

My mom took Excedrin (which contains aspirin) for several years. She used it as a mild pain reliever. The NASAID eventually began to eat away at her stomach. She started hemorrhaging. She was losing blood as evident in her stool. She became anemic. As a result sometimes she would just fall and collapse onto the floor. I had to rush her to the emergency room a couple times. Once I figured out what the problem was, I restricted her from taking Excedrin or any NASAID after that. Within a few months this hemorrhaging problem stopped and her stomach healed up well.

2. When a person takes antibiotics to kill an infection, it is critically important to take probiotics after the antibiotic treatment ends. Our bodies are filled with bacteria. Most of these bacteria are very good. They help our body. Many of these good bacteria can be found in our gut. Antibiotics do not discriminate between good and bad bacteria. They kill them all. Therefore it is very important to reestablish the colonies of healthy bacteria after a course of antibiotics.

It's actually based on my love of cartomancy (fortune telling with playing cards). The Grim Reaper is holding the Ace of Spades card which is the 'death' card. :skull:

I love reading about what the cards mean in divination. Though I'm still an amateur and am having a hard time remembering what each card means, plus every guide to cartomancy gives a different meaning for each card.

What I have figured out so far:

Kings, Queens, and Jacks usually represent real people. Kings are male energy, Queens are female energy, and Jacks are youthful energy.

For example a King of Hearts would represent a kindly individual with a fair complexion, while a Queen of Spades would represent a woman with a dark complexion who is a widow or a divorcee and inspires unhappiness.

The four symbols:

Hearts are Emotions

Diamonds are Money (or messages)

Clubs are Hardwork (or wisdom)

Spades are Obstacles

For some examples a 2 of Hearts could mean lovers, an Ace of Spades can mean death (either literally or figuratively), and a 5 of Spades can mean an illness of the body.
