Vacuum cleaners drive me up the wall if I'm not the one doing the vacuuming
The monotonous clicking noise that the lab computer makes every second
The squeaky sound of bread cheese in your mouth while trying to eat it
The rustling of the curtains at night from an ill positioned fan
Our eldest cat pawing on our bedroom door at night/in the morning
House shows when my wife watches one too many in a row :P (I'm supposed to add that she only watches those shows out of boredom and the desire to yell at the people).

From the initial list:
Cars or motorcycles with a really loud engine
Distant music (especially when all you can hear is the bass drums)
Hearing a TV chattering or murmuring from another room
People moving about noisily in the room above me
People chattering outside my window
Someone hammering next door (especially if it goes on all day)

My daughter hates bird noises in our postcode which leads me to believe its some form of classical conditioning involving aversion. She manages it now with music/headphones.

*the sound of anger
*people arguing
*fireworks and firearms discharging, jalopies backfiring

Did I also mention that I really hate the sound of the ad/commercial presenter adding extra information in a fast tone of voice at the end? I don't know how else to explain it but it's really annoying.

My daughter particularly hates the sound of beeping at shopping centre security guard rails when somebody goes in or out of the shop.

I hate the sound of Leaf blowers they are too loud.
I can't stand those so called singers that wail and screech. yes its probably an age thing.

Eww, wailing? Screeching and screaming I can deal with, but wailing? The only wailing I condone involves harpoons. :nerdy:

Not sure how I can explain it except for how Mariah Carey sings.
