I'm also a non-physicalist, and also consider NDEs to be a living joke in itself.

Why is that so?

Fraud.

Eben Alexander a living fraud. Sued several times for malpractice. Lost them. Above all else we MUST buy his story.

I see something different.

They might converge into clusters but they don't converge in a broader sense. What probably bothers me even more is said encounters cause people to simultaneously come back with certain 'gifts' and increased new age solipsism and probably less capacity to actually make practical contact in having any useful effect on the world they live in. There are a few of course who were intensely analytical before, intensely analytical after, one guy I'm thinking of is a particularly profound Jungian, but rather than being able to break down what other people experienced he also experienced something quite different.

In a way this backs my sense that if there's conscious experience after death, or a universe brimming with consciousness, the set and setting is more of a haunted naturalism or animism, ie. all the trappings of the world we're used to but far more minds of all sizes wandering about. I like John Gray's joke about this (if you're not familiar he's an existentialist, atheist, also somewhat skeptic of reductive materialism) that people may very well die to go somewhere else where they can ask all of the same questions about where they are or why they're there.

This is where I debate with myself where these people just got juiced by their brain dumping all of their neurotransmitters at once or whether the world 'outside' is as solipsistic and self-interested as we tend to be, and accordingly when it does make contact with our particular fitness landscape those points of contact tend to be trite, manipulative, or downright absurd. I'm sure there's some amount of the former, just that there's a lot of other content that doesn't reduce well to that.

Also having kundalini syndrome is a trip. The ins and outs of that tend to persuade one who's having it that nature's mostly a deeper field rather than there being much of any sort of divine supervisory board.

"You" are the life experiences and personality which resides in the brain cells.
Once your brain is gone, "you" are gone.
Anything else is irrelevant, in the personal context.

It is inherently dubious to presume any anecdotal evidence would sway those who believe in the contrary.

I believe that I will be going to Heaven when I die. That's just my belief, though. I respect the beliefs of my other WP members as well.

Would they object if us heathens pillage Esau and Jacob's final resting place if it does exist?
