There is certainly more "free rein" within PPR. It's a microcosm of something like Reddit.

It gets on my nerves sometimes----and the rhetorical methodology sometimes gets on my nerves. And, the cynical viewpoint and theory not based on actual living.

It's NT as all hell; there's lots of social Darwinism in it. There's lots of intellect, too. But the intellect is sometimes not used in a positive way; it's used to enhance one's own ego and put down others.

I rarely use PPR, but there seems to be a general impression that it's a free-for-all / enter-at-your-own-risk mentality, where the site rules don't really apply. I know it's more argumentative than other fora and I know it can become heated, but it's good to know the rules still apply overall.
