I don't think Kitesandcatsandtrains was trying to frighten me, I think he/she was just educating me on what is going on in China.

I think China are overreacting, they can't possibly expect the cases to be zero.

I'm more worried about lockdowns than the virus itself, as I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I really don't want my freedom taken away. Nobody does.

You made the assertion, it's therefore up to you to prove it. That means objective, verifiable evidence - not your usual politically-motivated puffery.

Fauci’s a scientific person. He has served under both Democrats and Republicans.

He’s not infallible. He’s not perfect. But he certainly didn’t fund COVID.

The Chinese government is controlling the outbreak in Shanghai with an extremely draconian lockdown - still Omicron, this unusual spread (by Chinese standards) stems from the slow response of the Shanghai government - which is causing us a huge economic loss.

At this moment, the central government has taken over Shanghai. Some of my sources say the military was involved.
It can be expected that this will not cause more infections in other countries, at least not for now.

Today I went out for groceries and after I had paid for them the cashier and the guy behind me were talking about all the many people they knew who had covid. I was already feeling stressed and my senses overloaded and so I had a meltdown.

The world is doomed, there's nothing we can do about it, and nobody can help me. No one.
