I saw it once about ten years ago. Meh. I lost focus too because it was so long.

I didn't buy them as a couple. She looked way older than him and the chemistry was off.

I had a lot of other little criticisms at the time but I can't remember now.

I can see the chemistry between them and I think the reason she looks older

1. He’s looked like he was 15, though he was 22.

2. She was only 21 when she played Rose. Honestly, I think it was a make up. When she played her, Kate reminded me of Judy Garland.

However, I think she and Billy Zane made a neat couple.

I don't know either of the actors' names or anything about them. I just remember she was a lot more mature than he was and seemed about eight years older. I've never heard of Billy Zane.

Maybe I should look at it again one day but I don't watch very many movies.

Billy Zane played Rose’s fiancé - I think they made a neat couple, despite him written as a rich narcissist

As for DiCaprio, yes I watched the behind the scenes, he seemed immature. He also seemed arrogant. In fact, Claire Danes, who worked with him, said she disliked working with him for those reason

I think Titanic is much better than other disaster movies because in other ones they try to introduce and balance several different characters, and by then end when some live some die, you don't care a whole lot, because they never really made much time to develop everyone.

But Titanic chooses to focus on mostly two protaganists and develop their story, for around 90 minutes before the disaster starts to even happen. So it makes you care a lot more compared to most disaster movies, or at least that is what I felt.

I liked Avatar much better than Titanic because the CGI was more artistic. I also liked the story better too. Plus the same actress who played Neyteri also plays Gamora.

During the 12 year dry period, I got into Lord of the Rings.

I wanted to bring up another movie which he is in. I don’t know how many of you have seen “The Quick and the Dead.” Now he plays a smaller role but he makes a great cocky cowboy.

My friend showed me that movie on video tape, a few years after it came out. I thought it was brilliant. More entertaining than most westerns.

The most recent Titanic movie certainly was entertaining, and the lead actors have gone on to have successful careers.  The end scenes -- where they compared they way the Titanic looked when new with how it looked when the movie was made -- were especially poignant.

I saw it in a theater with a very big screen when it came out in 1997. I have not seen more than a few clips here and there since then. The film to me was another version of Romeo and Juliet and a mundane one at that, with great special effects. At the time the film came out to say I was an outlier in my opinion is an understatement. Pretty much everyone lavished it with praise and even the most macho guys bragged about crying during the film.

I just didn't get it.

AsPartofMe:

After the movie came out on VHS, I remember being in a cooking class during high school. The teacher wanted us to observe the way they set a table at a fancy dinner party. So what clip did we watch? The scene where Jack joined Rose for dinners. When she mentioned we were watching it, another student said

“I hate that movie,” and I told her to shut her face. However, I got in trouble for it. :D

My long lost relative must have been in your class.

Lol, I think I know what the problem with that movie. James Cameron smooshed too many genres together.

-The first part of the movie is historical
- The second part is Romantic
-The third part is a thriller
-The fourth part is a disaster

Cocaine gives people grandiose thoughts, such as, "I'm King of the World!" It was just a joke.
