I think you misunderstood, I don't think he's telling people to literally castrate themselves. But he is... sarcastically.. which is why Christians have actually done it: like origen... because they didn't understand the sarcasm.
There is more than one way of interpreting this. You might be wrong, and Origen might be right.

The kingdom of heaven is the Christian afterlife or referring to the Christian community here on earth so it can't be referring to followers of Cybele, as that is a non-Christian god.
If Jesus was deploying sarcasm, then he
might have been referring to the followers of Cybele. Apparently, the Christian worship of the Virgin Mary descended from the worship of Cybele.

Most Christians understand the sarcasm or ignore that verse or explain it away as celibacy.
Most Christians these days would probably rather not think about castration. The practice has generally fallen out of fashion. From what I understand, North Africans and Ottomans of yore would castrate captives to become slaves. Many would not survive the procedure. In America, particularly after the legal importation of new slaves was prohibited, breeding was the only way to generate new slaves. Hence, castrating slaves would have been uneconomical.
The Catholic interpretation of the passage to signify that priests ought to be celibate is contradicted in 1 Timothy 3:
"This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless,
the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?"

Later in the Bible it says there were great multitudes in heaven so castrating oneself cannot be a barrier for entry.
Great multitudes of eunuchs in Heaven? Where does it say that?
