Unacceptable content includes...racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic language...violent or sexually demeaning content; sexual fetish; and discussion of excretory function...
and given that some "unacceptable content" overlaps with the general rubric of the attitudes of many people who self-identify as "conservative", one might expect to see an overall bias towards "liberalism" on this site.
Does convervatism mean people should be free to make derogatory remarks toward those groups?
What if other members are part of those groups?
Wouldn't that seem like personal attacks, even if made indirectly?
How would you run a support site for socially-anxious people without that risk?
I mean if you look at the news lately it certainly seems like a lot of conservatives/republicans are ok with derogatory remarks towards those groups, as well as derogatory treatment. I mean it's not the liberals and leftists fighting to take away women's bodily autonomy or outlaw transitioning treatment for trans people ect.
I don't think it should be considered a personal attack to point out there's a problem with sexism, racism, homophobia and transphobia on the right. Even if there are some conservatives who disagree with those attitudes.

I just think to myself -
1. What politics would androids take up with they became self-aware?
2. What economic system would support a colony on Mars?
3. Why are so many alien cultures in fiction non-capitalist?
Are we projecting?

I do not argue. I state facts or ask questions.

I think what you're doing is patronising, I think I can offer a thousand answers and you will offer a thousand rebukes. I think it's a form of bullying and hounding.
My autism places severe barriers in my ability to debate and argue, I struggle to understand why people think the way they do, say the things they do, what they mean, etc. But I know what I believe and I have to leave it at that.
I don't think it should be considered a personal attack to point out there's a problem with sexism, racism, homophobia and transphobia on the right. Even if there are some conservatives who disagree with those attitudes.
The conversation got hijacked long decades ago when we started going from isms to phobias. The idea that you anything you don't accept is because you're afraid of it. That expression of anything other than total acceptance is forbidden in many spaces.
Yes, for some people it is irrational paranoia. But the idea that the world should be a certain way, that everyone and everything is required to exist within certain boundaries? That's a very autistic way of thinking.
Belief that governments should step in and do stuff to help people is leftist.
Belief that governments should not spend the tax payers money to help folks is rightist.
Autistics by definition are a disabled folks, and thus tend to need help and even govt. assistance, ergo autistic self interests shunts them to the left as a group. But thats an external force of self interest. If your talking about some internal mental predisposition...who knows?
Is there something in autistic thinking that predisposes autistics left or right? Its hard to say.
Autistics are supposed to be "black and white thinkers" who cant deal with nuance. So if that were true then I suppose it would cause autistics to go to extremes and gravitate to the fringes of whatever (religion, animal rights, leftism, or rightism). But I dont see any actual evidence of even that being true.
On the one hand, I can imagine the "be free to be yourself" mentality and the apparent above average number of ASD folks who are somewhere within the broad LGBT-etc community would statistically skew ASD people to the left.
On the other hand, ASD's tendency to like rules and order, dislike change, and like being left alone would seem more right-wing.
On the third, invisible hand: I don't fit with either of the two main American political parties, or even any of the third parties because many issues I consider important aren't considered important by any of them. Most of my life I've have conservatives tell me I'm liberal and liberals tell me I'm conservative. When I express honest political opinions online I'm often accused of trolling. I'm both anti-Trump and anti-woke. I'm pro-abortion and pro-death penalty. I'm a lifelong moral conservative but not religious. I'm anti-capitalist, anti-communist, and anti-fascist.
Does anyone else find they seem many political questions in unusual ways (or in unusual combinations) because they're autistic?
Ya I think a lot of aspies are on the left side of the political spectrum especially here on this site.Personally, I am a very Libertarian-leaning Republican.I have many unique political political opinions and some are conservative and some are liberal. I dont really think of my self as a true red republican I am a more of a purple Republican in belief.
