That figure of speech is one that some people believe, but I don't exactly see why.

I made wisecracks about something inappropriate for discussion on this forum. Ironically, this happened on New Year's Eve of last year. I am, however, not positively sure if the moon was full on that day.

Night makes me feel more alive. I don't think it matters if there's a full moon.

Yes I can definitely feel the effects of the full moon. I went out for a walk tonight, in that mood again- then I looked up and saw it was a full moon- "Ah that explains it..."

I thought it common knowledge that the full moon has an affect on people's behaviour?
