This all sounds very fishy. Have do tried reaching out to a disability rights advocate organization or even a lawyer? There has to be some sort of disability rights violation here.

That's not true, like if you feel your mom is abusing your funds you could petition the court to get a state payee instead of your mom, but also if you feel you don't need a payee you could also petition the court to remove the requirment and you could then just get your own money especially if the payee was decided when you were a minor but now you're an adult and can potentially handle your own money...seriously contact a social security office, tell them what is going on and see what they can do for you, I guarantee they wont like it if your mom cut you off from your own SSI money via spending it on herself rather than your needs and wellbeing, since a payee is just supposed to help you direct money to the right things not take it for themself, so that's a big crime on her part if that is what she did.
So yeah if your mom has taken your money as her own, that is fraud and so you should get in touch with your state social security department to sort it out.

There is a violation, a payee cannot take the money from the person receiving the money, they can use the money for the persons wellbeing and recreation, it is not theirs to spend on just whatever while neglecting the person they are acting as payee for.

They did not take my money in that way.Dad just took my debit card from me and forbids me from using it.He hid my debit card from me.Mom said I could have discretionary income again but she wont give it to me in the form of my debit card. She will only give it to me in the form of a pre-paid visa debit card.

My mom told me I cant have any other person than her be my payee.Mom does not use my money for her own benefit. However dad makes me pay for food with it and has forbid me from getting on food stamps and he steals some of my food that I bought with my own money at times.I cant afford a lawyer to go before the court for me.

Lawyer's will sometimes work pro bono if they believe that someone really needs it. Also, try to get your parents to say these things to you in writing via email or text message. You can use this as damning evidence against them in court.

This is definitely abuse and you don't deserve to be treated this way. Is there someone you trust that you can talk to about this like a friend or family member (other than your parents of course)? There is not much any of us can do to help from behind a screen.

Hang in there man. I believe you will get justice if you reach out to the right people or organizations.

That is exactly them taking your money that way, like a payee is not allowed to withold your money as punishment and not really allowed to withold it at all, that money is supposed to go to you and your wellbeing, if they are diverting it to pay for their own stuff that is fraud and means they are just using you for the money they can get out of your disibility. ...A payee could withold money if they are worried you will spend too much of it on nonsense things but they still have to use the money for you not themselves.

But yeah your mom should not have your debit card that just means she can use your money to purchase whatever she wants with it and then leave you with the debt. If I were you I'd shut down that debit card and get a new account at a different bank or credit union and don't give your mom access to it. LIke your parents are wrong and trying to hide the money you're entitled to with your disability from you.

Though if your mom is payee I suppose the money would go to her, but if she is not using it for you to pay for things for you then she is abusing it...as a payee is just supposed to just help manage your money if you can't do it yourself, not withold it when you need it for things.

But like I said you can contact the social security department and potentially get off the payee list to where they would let you handle your own money, or if they feel you're not capable of that you could at least get a state appointed payee rather than your mom and the state appointed one would be less likely to break the laws and withhold your money.

Like others have said in the thread - your parents should not in any way be controlling money you get from your disability payments, unless the money they are controlling or spending is benefiting you in some way.

Can you ask your Dad why you cannot be on food stamps? It seems like waste of eligibility not to be on them if you are indeed entitled to receive them.

My mom and dad dont use my disability income for their own benefit really. Also since its a debit card there is no debt involved so there is no way she could just leave me with the debt like you said.My dad will likely make me homeless and kick me to the literal curb if I tell outsiders about my mistreatment on their part.

The government appointed her to be in charge of my money. The money benefits me.My dad said I cant use foodstamps because I already get over 100,000 dollars per year in medical bills plus social security and he was going to call the cops on me for elder abuse when I asked to get on food stamps.
