And my town centre is so small you could throw a stone from one side to the other

In the USA there's a place called Dollar General that's unavoidable like that. You could go out into the desert and there'd be one. They don't sell food though.

That proves it must be a great place. Work for us and become a pillar of society in 5 easy steps.

Me too. Somewhere between "you'll get what you're given" and six million choices there must be a happy medium.

I have to send someone up for me if it's a buffet because for one thing I feel full up as soon as I see it all laid out in front of me and for another thing I'm just faced with too much choice

I can't read menus either because of my dyslexia

So I can't really go in anywhere on my own

I can do the chippy because there's not much choice there

Also with Subway it just never looks clean to me

I wish I had a servant to send off to get my food. They'd have to learn my preferences.

Yes chippies are pretty down to earth, or they were when I used to indulge. Last time I tried they'd all been changed to pizza shops and curry houses, even though the internet swore blind they were proper traditional chip shops. Stupid out of date internet. Last time I had a pizza I got excruciating tummy ache and you don't want to know what came out of the other end. Won't be going in there again.

It's so soggy that you could probably suck it up through a straw

Yeah, ADA produces some poisonous byproducts during the baking process. Apparently they removed it back in 2014 though.

This article goes into more detail about what I described as mystery meats:

Chicken that's only 50% chicken and tuna that's not fish, for example.
