How else would it be possible to make an on topic response to either? :chin:

I've PM'd the OP asking for a summary of the video which I'll then copy/paste into the post.

I've also added a new site rule under "Posting Specifications" - Please include an introduction or summary of a linked video, and a summary or short extract from a linked article in the post linking either.

This is reasonable. If I've ever personally posted an "opinion" video from YT, I would like to think I included some sort of summary. I've posted a couple of comedy or music videos from time to time, but I tend to think those can be taken at face value.

But if I want to support an opinion, I'll generally try to find an article. I will usually quote it in-line (or apologize for not doing so due to haste) and if I think the site has a bias (for example some Jewish oriented sites) then I will warn people to consider that when reacting to the material.

I don't see why videos shouldn't be subject to the same standards.

Just as long as one doesn’t think they can read a short summary instead of watch the video/engage with the sources and debate accordingly, especially if it’s a well-sourced one as some of them are.

I suppose a summary could help one decide if they want to watch the video/engage with the material or not.

At the risk of drawing the ire of the moderators, Maxe has a valid point. Many of us don't have the luxury of time nor the attention span to watch whole videos, many spanning > 1hr long. At the very least Funeral empire could provide timestamps to permit more WP members to at least check the relevant points being made in the video.

I know, we white people are horrible and to blame for everything wrong with the world. :(

I read that today is " National Sorry Day" in Australia. I could almost hear people snickering that it should be a Canadian holiday, but it's really a day commemorating the Stolen Generations. We have a day like that in Canada, too.

There isn't a single country in this world where non-white native people haven't been treated like garbage by us white people. It's horrible. :(

The video is roughly 12 minutes long.

Thanks. I've usually done this with videos that I've linked to, and I would appreciate it very much if others could do the same.

Also, I often (though not always) include the name of the channel and/or the name of the creator.

I watched all 12 minutes and even rewinded and went back. I'm afraid I don't know what exactly they want?
there was explanation about why
- the Israelis are settler colonists
- Israelis are capitalists
- Israel is unequal
- Israelis not indigenous because they get skin cancer
- Israelis are in denial of all of the above

But...what do you want?

It's just pointing out those realities, not arguing for any particular conclusion.

Not every attempt at educating people is meant to persuade them towards a specific conclusion.

"I invented hummus" this one got me.

They even got Za'atar wrong and call it 'spice'

It was never eaten as spice; natives know that is often mixed with olive oil for eating.

The biggest issue for the Palestinian problem is that their cause got islamized/religionized.

Both sides pushed to this narrative and it was for Israeli's benefits, the other side pushed it out of backwardness, racis and religious radicalism. It made sound like a war between 2 billions of Muslims who to errdicate few millions of Jews who want their own country; hence few in the rest of the world viewed it as a colonialism akin to the US/Canada/Australia vs natives; both sides contributed in convincing the world that the natives are the bad guys in the Palestinian case.

I didn't watch the video till the end; but the Zionist narrative not only they self-indigenous themselves; but they un-indigenous the indigenous, some of the famous claims:

- The Palestinians are descedants of Arab invaders, they are from Jordan or Syrian, not of ancient native people such as Canaanites.

- The bible says all Canaanites got exteriminated, those wicked f*****s. So no way the Levant populations are natives; they are all from Arabia.

- Then the genetic study on 2017 proved the above claim wrong: "Researchers analysed DNA extracted from 4,000-year-old human remains to reveal that more than 90% of Lebanese ancestry is from ancient Canaanite populations."

Sources:
https://www.cam.ac.uk/research/news/gen ... opulations.

https://www.nationalgeographic.com/hist ... rchaeology

- So the Zionites were not happy with these results because they debunk their narrative, and were like "So these wicked aren't dead? Time for some new narrative then" , so the Times of Israel issued an article titled "The Canaanites weren’t annihilated, they just ‘moved’ to Lebanon" = Translation: Ah, so the Palestinians are still not natives then, they are not related to Lebanese. Good save.

And in the comments of this retard-titled article you see ret*d comments like :
