Well it doesn't seem to be mentioning it on the BBC news on the TV, and my husband watches it every day and says they've not mentioned flu at all. It's only stuff that keeps popping up on Facebook.
BUT I still assume whatever I find online as truth until proven otherwise, because I remember when I first saw the post about Keir Starner's digital ID notion pop up on Facebook I just laughed, thinking that was daft enough to be fake news, but turned out it really is happening. So not everything you find on Facebook is fiction.
But it's given me a bit of reassurance that flu isn't being mentioned on the TV news, even though Facebook posts about it have been popping up for a couple of weeks or more. I'm sure they'd have found a space between all this Trump and Putin s**t to scare people about the flu somewhere, but they haven't. So it can't be that big.
