It's the other way around in my world
Not necessarily preference.
I actually like bright places. It's my brain that hates it.
How else did I spent basically years of walking in broad daylight and work in more intense lighting despite having photosensitivity against both and yet without wearing photochromic or tinted lenses?
I don't have intolerance to light nor any aversion; the opposite even.
I've only realized it when I get to experience the contrast of what my brain likes and dislikes, as opposed to my personal preference and stuff that I "got used to" that my body refuses to by being strained faster than I like or by being hurt by it.
This is also why I have a violent relationship towards my body as a whole.
It has it's own preferences away from my own. ![]()

Our landlords have just installed a bright light in each room lol. My husband requested it. I'm glad he likes bright light too lol.
