i hate the term "emo" as used today by pop music and... trend cutters.

but i do have a paper diary... (type messes my brain up, or takes longer anyway.) and boots with buckles.. and i get mad all the time when i try to "talk" to people and tell them how i feel, because i will put a song on and stare at them while it plays... I AM TALKING! LISTEN! this is sing/saying my RESPONSE to YOU right NOW! but the people i know don't seem how to get how conversations can be in song lyrics...

don't they NOTICE i am looking at them DIRECTLY and ONLY? Duh. How often does that happen?

I guess it does bug me a little how "emo" has basically become an insult directed at people who are sensitive, emotional, and/or have some effeminate tendencies. Honestly, I don't even know any people who make a point to be emo or who fit the stereotype that closely. Maybe it's just because I graduated high school 5 years ago. I certainly don't approve of latching onto any trend just to be cool, but from what I've gathered, it seems that people are just too quick to judge and stereotype when people show even the slightest "emo" tendencies.
