I dunno if it is a sin, but there is certainly a killing involved.

(By the way the rest of the thread is very funny and interesting. I just could not let this passing blank, you know?)

sez who? some judeo-christian philosophy? oh, yeah, I forgot your 10 commandments are not universal for everyone, only for those that adhere to that philosophy.

I only broke three, though I would like to tackle a few more as part of my five-year plan.

Those commanments are crap! Here are the true commandments:

"Thou shalt always be honest and faithful to the provider of thy nookie."

"Thou shalt try real hard not to kill anyone, unless of course they pray to a different invisible man from the one you pray to."

"Thou shalt keep thy religion to thy self."

-George Carlin

I have never cheated on anyone who was giving me nookie. Although my wife wants me to do her sister. It's a long story.

I have never killed any person, but I do eat meat and plants, which are alive, so I suppose I failed there.

I always keep my religion to myself and never try to impose my beliefs on others, so long as I get to live my life according to my beliefs.

Yes, it was originally referred to humans only, except capital punishment, they killed animals to make sacrifice rituals
and stuff (pre-christian era) and some to eat.

Originally God intended all land creatures to be vegan:

Genesis 1:29-30 BBE
(29) And God said, See, I have given you every plant producing seed, on the face of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit producing seed: they will be for your food:
(30) And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the air and every living thing moving on the face of the earth I have given every green plant for food: and it was so.

But after the flood:

Genesis 9:1-7 BBE
(1) And God gave his blessing to Noah and his sons, and said, Be fertile, and have increase, and make the earth full.
(2) And the fear of you will be strong in every beast of the earth and every bird of the air; everything which goes on the land, and all the fishes of the sea, are given into your hands.
(3) Every living and moving thing will be food for you; I give them all to you as before I gave you all green things.
(4) But flesh with the life-blood in it you may not take for food.
(5) And for your blood, which is your life, will I take payment; from every beast I will take it, and from every man will I take payment for the blood of his brother-man.
(6) Whoever takes a man's life, by man will his life be taken; because God made man in his image.
(7) And now, be fertile and have increase; have offspring on the earth and become great in number.

well, when I was in church years ago, they said everyone will be vegeterian in heaven, because in order to eat meat, you have to kill.

Well that makes sense (no marriage for humans = no sex for humans, implies no reproduction for humans and possibly for animals too. With no input (multiplying) I hope there's no output(killing)!) and that also lines up with prophecies about the new heaven and new earth in Isaiah and Revelation.

For now though God has given us the right to eat animals. Wouldn't myself if I had to kill them.
