i am in huge agreement as i hardly have mental aspect except obsessiveness... other than that its all sensory... i think we should keep voting in this thread until it becomes so huge the admins HAVE to do something!
yeah... sensory is like 90% of my autism... the other 10% is my majorly obsessive nature

The kids one could be found/created in the Parenting Forum, I beleive. Relatives could just be regular AS Discussion.

I agree with Ed - it's an important topic, because one's sense of smell is a great source of pleasure, but also of unbelievable pain.

For example, because a co-worker drenches himself in nauseating cologne, and it was making me desperately ill, my boss suggested that I have my olfactory nerve severed, and then became annoyed that I found the idea insulting and barbaric.
She said that she could not ask him to stop wearing the perfume because it might "hurt his feelings", but she had no problem at all asking me to have two of my senses, taste and smell, literally amputated!

Hahaha, I only have ~sour~ spots - can't stand people touching me, clothing touching me in the wrong places, or breathing all the fragrances people have all over themselves these days!
No one else seems to have that problem though, although Tony Attwood mentions that a lot of Aspies can't tolerate fragrances. I feel as if I'm alone on that particular planet!

I have some sour spots... but i have lots of sweet spots.. listed below..
my sensory integration disorder / autism is calmed/relaxed/comforted by the following i love soft silky straps and restrainy thingies!(see what i mean at http://bodypoint.com) tight warm things and places, deep pressure, sensory deprivation, being mummy wrapped, extremely tight hugs, blood pressure cuffs, lead aprons, soft latex/PVC thingys
