Yes, that does make sense, as it is a means of including
everyone whether or not they actually are a part of it.
The point I was making was that if this kind of material is detrimental to people's willingness or feeling of ability to post more 'weighty' issues, then in some respects, it can be quite destructive.
I thought there was Censorship though. I would think there would
have to be, considering that strongly held, controversial views could be taken as offensive by some people. Also, I have seen interventions in posts to remove content that some people may deem offensive, especially if there are potential legal repercussions, for example, organisations such as the CRE.
