Its all good but... how the hell are you talking? Jelly?? If my mother ever tried to make me understand things with "jellies" I should have changed family. And yes... I'm Aspie.
Logic works and not all the Aspie/Autie thinks in pictures. Learning style are different amoung the spectrum, actually there is more difference inside the spectrum than outside it. I don't want to be rude... but jellies?? Also all that colors in the website make my eyes cry out aloud.

 Aww sorry you don't like our site Nightsun...I guess we can't please everyone. But we do try to do our best, we work for nothing and are available 24/7 free of charge. We never turn anyone away even at 2am on a Sunday morning.

We agree not everyone can cope with one method...that is why our website has hundreds of different tips, styles techniques to try. Not all of them will work on everyone....only one may help...but that one may make all the difference. Yes Jellies and to be honest it did sound rude....but I can take it  We have found that using the analogy of Jelibeans makes the spectrum a less scary place for kids especially to be....maybe you have not understood the analogy correctly? Maybe you are not able to think in analogy in which case it may be difficult. But for the majority of the parents and professionals I am working with we appear to have a lot of success.

I know that a friend of mine found out a lot from a child through talking in analogy.....ask her to describe how she felt about her brother and she couldn't name or describe the emotion....but if he was an animal what would he be? The answer of a swan told her heaps and it was very obvious there was a close trusting relationship between the two..unlike her sister who was described as a snake! But Jelibean is not all about 'talking in pictures', there are many strategies on there to help with meltdowns, stimming, speech and language, socialising, special interests and some powerpoints too. Again, sorry you didn't find anything you liked, maybe you could let us know what particularly would help you?

Colour schemes on our website? Well again we are all different, I actually find them easy on the eye and have consulted many autistics for their opinions.....anything too loud is difficult for those with dyslexia, we are trying our best.

Anyway I hope there are others who will find something good in it, we try and update it regularly.

I can't talk for other auties. Yes analogy works for the best with many of us. I'm the first one. When I was a child I used a lot of analogies to explain myself and the same does my daughter. The point I'm trying to make is that:
- everyone will have his own analogical mind and its highly due to his own expirience and mind, a shark can remind me unger but can remind another autistic something else. To make an example, an orc remind me fear but for my daughter it means "intimidating", the first time she gave me an orc card I think she was scared, instead she wanted to intimidate me to obtain something... if one need to work out a specific picture-vocabulary for al autistic people, you can use the same time to learn him typing on a keyboard.
- an autie need to understand how to interact with other people in the usual way, how to convert his mind-picture into logical and common words not the other way around.
- Jellies help parents in accepting autistic spectrum but it's basically humiliating for an autie to be compared to a jelly
- I think that many autistic people will find the site too much rich of colors.
