An octopus army would work best as a roving pack of stealth assassins. They can change color to blend in with their surroundings and squeeze into tiny holes and get in anywhere. They also have the grip to climb up nearly any surface, and hold any weapon. In short they are like squishy ninjas. They would also make great scouts for dialing in coordinates to the chimp army once I teach them how to load and fire Howitzers.
