What Foreign Indo-European Languages Have You Learned?

I haven't really "studied" languages in the formal sense of the word. I am fluent in English and Dutch. I would like to gain knowledge in the future in German, Russian, Sanskrit, Ancient Greek, Latin, Persian, and perhaps others if my mind and my time permit it. Are any of you self-taught in foreign languages with success? If so, what are your study methods and materials? Do you use language tapes (Pimsleur, Assimil, etc) or do you have specific software to aid you? One of my dreams is to become a skilled polyglot, who has passable knowledge of at least 10 languages, and excellent fluency in about 4 to 6.

I learned French in school, so that's the only foreign language I can speak fluently. However, I know a lot of Spanish, because my parents are from Mexico, but ironically, not Plautdietsch, which they speak (or would that be considered a dialect). Still, I am currently trying to learn Italian, Portuguese, and even Hebrew by podcast.

I mainly focus on the Romance languages.

But although not Indo-European, I have developed an interest in the Turkic languages.

[My mother tongue is Norwegian. Besides English, I have learned a little German. But I have forgot most of it. Ich habe es vergessen. Mein Deutch ist nicht so gut. As you probably can see...

I am currently learning Russian and have studied German in college.

This is a little complicated.

Romance: Spanish, French, and Latin, which means I understand a lot of Italian and Brazilian (but not Iberian) Portuguese
Germanic: German, a bit of Dutch
Others: Sanskrit (one semester in grad school).

English is my native language, learned (or learnt if you prefer) in the U.S. But I lived in Japan for years, speaking English mostly with Brits and Aussies, so my English got "internationalized" to some extent.

A Slavic language might get added at some point, if I'm in the mood. But I sometimes want to get back to Chinese or Arabic, both of which were fun.

Romance: Italian (learning online, because I want to live in Italy), French (learnt at school, I still remember some of it)
Germanic: German (learnt at school, I was terrible at it)
Celtic: Welsh (learnt at school years ago when I lived in Wales, I don't remember a word of it)

I'm thinking about learning Spanish as well.

Those are the languages I've actually learned, but I listen to music in Italian, Spanish, Russian, Romanian, Greek, and Portugese. So I have kind of picked up a few words of all those languages.

Romance: French, but only for one year T_T

I speak English, Spanish and Romanian. I have always liked studying foreign languages....I'm also a decent translator, if anyone needs it (special interest here )

I've studied French, Castellano, English and German formally in school, though.

At the moment, I'm studying some bits of Finnish, but as it is a Finno-Ugric language, it's not listed in the poll.
