No.
If you go back in time to kill your own grandfather, you will obviously fail to do so because it did not happen (assuming the existence of time travel). That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Me too. The past cannot be changed. Even if you did not fail, you would still fail because you did not exist to succeed.
parrallel universe
For which there exists no evidence.
that pretty much puts time travel into perspective then.. no evidence
Yes, but while CTCs may exist in relativity theory, a mechanism by which you can jump between universes or start new ones is bald-faced speculation.
what does CTC stand for?.. i don't have a degree. i apologise..
quantum physics has theories which correlate strongly with parrallel universes.. it's all about knowing your dimensions.. it goes all the way up to the 10th dimension i believe..
CTC = closed timelike curve. They are the scientific foundation of time travel.
If you're referring to the many worlds interpretation of quantum theory, it seems to me there are many better and more popular interpretations of QM. And for the ten dimensions, that is usually paired with string theory, which remains to actually make a prediction...
(Of course, this is not my field either)
