Remanant,
that bill isnt a 9-11 spin off, its been debated for longer than that. the reason? To keep "unstable" people from buying weapons. If I were unstable I'd get my guns and knifes on the balckmarket anyhow....
Its the other implications I worry about...

To me it's another slice off our civil rights. Self-defense is a civil right.

agreed, but it didnt come from the 9-11 stuff was what I was saying....
